A Bat Management Program
Bats are important members of the wildlife community and serve the ecosystems they share in many ways. Worldwide, bats are important natural enemies of night-flying insects. A single little brown bat can catch 1,200 mosquitoes-sized insects in just one hour!
A bat management program is often needed to address a perennial bat problem. At Pestech we employ a comprehensive management approach consisting of four steps:
- Inspection
- Physical exclusion and/or capture
- Clean-up
- Follow-up
Risks
Bats can become a problem when they enter buildings in search of roosting sites.
Attractants
Bats typically enter structures by following air currents and odor cues. They are attracted to insects.
Keep Bats Out
Seal any entry points usually after an exclusion. Bats are persistent in seeking to re-enter a roost.
